NMP 2095 - Center for New Media Productions Practicum

Credits: 3

A unique project-based class in professional media production that moves beyond the classroom by using experiential learning in the field. Center for New Media Productions (CNMP) is a hands-on class that operates as a student-staffed professional media production company. CNMP’s mission is to provide the CSCU system, businesses, state agencies, municipalities, and community organizations with exceptional media production services while training advanced Center for New Media students. Students are involved in all aspects of media production such as project development, pre-production, production, post-production and distribution. CNMP provides students with “real world” hands-on production experiences on professional award-winning media projects that students can use for their portfolios.

Prerequisite: Entry into this course is based on instructor evaluation and academic standing. Enrollment is limited to 10 students.
