CJS 1350 - The Death Penalty Credits: 1
This course will introduce students to the death penalty, its history and significance in the United States, the political, social, and moral philosophies of its use as well as legal precedent. Topics include the appellate process, constitutionality, innocence, Special attention will be given to Connecticut’s abolishment of the death penalty, mental health issues as well as racial and economic trends. clemency, and execution.
