HIMT 2530 - Compliance in the Outpatient Setting
Credits: 3
This course explores the components of healthcare compliance programs in the outpatient setting as well as the agencies, laws, policies, and acts that support compliance. Students will identify strategies to ensure data integrity, compliance with documentation requirements, and privacy of health information. Areas explored also include internal and external audits, reporting, and enforcement.
Prerequisite: (HIMT 1110 OR HIMT 2110 ) AND eligibility for ENG 1010 .
