FREN 1021 - Beginning French Conversation II Credits: 3
This is a second semester introductory course for students who wish to continue developing their basic conversational skills in French. It focuses on everyday situations that students may encounter when living or traveling in French- speaking environments and dealing with French-speaking people in the United States. This is a beginning level course designed for students who have no more than 1 year of elementary French or have completed FREN 1011 . It emphasizes practical, everyday situations and provides a variety of opportunities to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while enhancing cultural understanding and appreciation of the French-speaking world.
Prerequisite: A grade of C- or higher in either FREN 1020 - Beginning French Conversation I , FREN 1011 - Elementary French I , or FREN 1012 - Elementary French II , or permission of instructor. Previous FRE* 255
