HIMT 2870 - Facility Coding Career
Credits: 1
This course provides practice with essential coding concepts including coding knowledge and skills, coding documentation, provider queries, and regulatory compliance in a healthcare facility-based context. Students will prepare to enter the workforce as facility coders including preparation for professional certification that includes test-taking tips, study strategies, and practice exams.
Prerequisite: HIMT 2711 and HIMT 2750 with a “C” or higher
Additional Info: Offered by the Middlesex campus of the CT State Community College only; the courses are offered fully online, allowing students to access the program from any location.
