The practicum course includes an academic component, taught in various formats (online, hybrid, on ground), and 60 hours of primarily in-person, supervised practicum at a cooperating human services agency. Students interested in applying to take Practicum I should contact their home campus Program Coordinator early in the semester prior to the semester they hope to be approved for their practicum, following processes and timelines in accordance with their home campus. Students are also responsible for practicum applications, fingerprinting, drug screenings, background checks, proof of health, and practicum-related travel expenses. Registration for this course is dependent on approval from the home campus Program Coordinator as well as site placement approval. Home campus Program Coordinators will be the primary point of contact and liaison for practicum coordination between campuses.
