CT State’s School of Business and Professional Studies offers a range of courses and programs to prepare students for careers or transfer in the highly sought after programs in business and professional studies in public service careers, transportation fields and culinary and hospitality. Whether you need short term industry recognized credentials, certificate or a degree, there are many options available to meet student needs and alignment to the Connecticut labor market needs.
Students interested in business or finance can gain exposure to courses and programs in accounting, business, marketing, and management as well as courses and programs designed for the aspiring entrepreneur. Led by our expert faculty, our curriculum immerses students in real- world application, case studies and experience in current business and finance practices.
Students who are interested in our professional studies programs have a range of curricular options to focus their studies on that lead to careers and transfer to four-year institutions. We offer programs in public service including criminal justice, firefighter and paralegal options, programs in transportation fields including automotive and aviation maintenance, programs in culinary arts and hospitality, programs in personal services including cosmetology and aesthetics, and programs in construction and renovation focused on architecture, real estate and construction management to name a few.
Many of our business and professional studies programs have required or recommended internship and field experience options available to deepen students’ learning. Whether you are looking for short-term training or an associate degree, the school has options to meet your needs and goals.
