HSC 1001  Introduction to Patient Care Management  (3 Credits)  
This course is an introduction to patient care management. It focuses on concepts and skills essential for patient care in the healthcare field. A broad overview, with a healthcare perspective, will be presented on such topics as, healthcare operations, including qualifications, roles, and responsibilities, and educational requirements. In addition, communication with patients and the interprofessional team and current healthcare trends with be discussed.
HSC 2090  Health Science Capstone  (3 Credits)  
This course will provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate integration theory and practice through a field experience activity in partnership with an identified healthcare organization. Specific learning objectives for this experience will be developed in collaboration with the student, faculty, and the individual healthcare organization.
