Korean (KORA)
KORA 1011 Elementary Korean I (4 Credits)
An introduction to the Korean language and Korean-speaking culture with emphasis on the development of the four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing in order to prepare students for successful entry into the target language. This is a beginning course for students who have had very limited or no prior study of this language. This is a four-credit course with an embedded lab component.
Prerequisites: Students must complete the Languages and Cultures placement assessment .

KORA 1012 Elementary Korean II (4 Credits)
A continuation of Elementary Korean I, this course builds upon previous introduction to the Korean language and Korean culture with a continued emphasis on the development of the four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This is the second part to the beginning sequence for students who have had some prior study of this language either in high school, Elementary Korean I, or life experience. This is a four-credit course with an embedded lab component.
Prerequisites: Students must have earned a grade of C- or higher in KORA 1011 or complete the Languages and Cultures placement assessment .
