Latin (LATN)

An introduction to the Latin language and Classical Roman history and culture with emphasis on the development of the four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing in order to prepare students for successful entry into the target language. This is a beginning course for students who have had very limited or no prior study of this language. This is a four-credit course with an embedded language lab component. A continuation of Elementary Latin I, this course builds upon previous introduction to the Latin language and Classical Romanculture and history with a continued emphasis on the development of the four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This is the second part to the beginning sequence for students who have had some prior study of this language either in high school or Elementary Latin I. This is a four-credit course with an embedded language lab component.
