The Web Design Fundamentals Course is designed to equip individuals with the essential skills and knowledge required to create visually appealing, functional, and user-friendly websites. This course covers the foundational principles of web design, including design aesthetics, coding basics, user experience considerations, and responsive design techniques.

Focus: Prepare students for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot examination. There is a separate FAA registration fee of $160 for the examination. From drone science and engineering to weather theory, the role of the FAA regulations and safety procedures is to prepare students to become certified commercial drone operators. Students will also learn about cloud computing and other technologies that are transforming the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) industry. The IT Support Certificate covers concepts related to IT support jobs, including troubleshooting, customer service, networking, system administration, operating systems, and security. Students will not only work with Linux, cloud computing and command-line interfaces, but they will learn how to assemble computers, write effective support documentation, route paths and subnets, manage device software, and more.

This course will acquaint students with the computer terminology and devices that help manage information today. Students will gain insight into computer hardware and the Microsoft Windows operating system. In addition, you will learn how to use the basic word processing functions of the popular Microsoft Word program. You will also learn how to use the Outlook email program and the best search techniques on the Internet. The curriculum will also cover the installation of RAM, expansion cards, and peripheral devices. Learn how to configure drivers and troubleshoot your Windows operating system, as well as how to reformat a hard drive, partition it, and load Windows. A+ 220-1001 prepares you to be an entry-level IT professional. This designation covers the installation, configuration and maintenance of personal computers, laptops, and printers; as well as the principles of physical and TCP/IP networks. A+ 220-1002 covers the installation and configuration of operating systems including Windows, iOS, Android, Apple OS X and Linux. It also addresses security, cloud computing fundamentals, operational procedures and the basics of networking and security/forensics. Emphasis will be placed on properly and safely diagnosing, resolving common hardware and software issues with correct documentation. The course also covers the basics of virtualization, desktop imaging and deployment while following professional operational procedures to troubleshoot and assemble components based on customer requirements. Students will participate in tabletop exercises and will develop templates that can be used to create their own plans for their own organizations. Participants will gain an understanding of types of disasters, and the differences between disaster recovery and business continuity. Students will also learn about recovery techniques and what steps to take to ensure that a business can survive. Students will participate in a tabletop exercise that will simulate the steps to take when an incident occurs. Target audience is IT staff that are responsible for maintaining systems or line of business staff that utilizes any form of technology.
