Credits: 8

This course builds upon concepts of nursing practice introduced in NUR 1120C . The course integrates a holistic, family-centered approach to the nursing and interprofessional care of patients, families, and groups across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed upon organizational skills of the nurse as a member of the interprofessional healthcare team. Learning experiences provide the student an opportunity to demonstrate critical thinking skills as course concepts are applied in the implementation of safe, patient-centered care in a variety of settings using the nursing process.
