SPED 2307 - Advanced Exceptional Learners Credits: 3
The course provides an advanced study of concepts and theories associated with all disabilities and exceptionalities. In this course, students examine and practice instructional competencies that improve student achievement. Students learn the skills required to support, supplement, and deliver differentiated content; and assess to meet the needs of all students in their classroom. Authentic assessment and instructional best practices for children with learning, physical, health, and intellectual disabilities and developmental delays is emphasized in this course.
Prerequisite: BS or BA in Education, Special Education, or related discipline, or SPED 1012 or ECED 2515 , or permission of program coordinator Previous ECS* 207
