NUR 1150 - LPN to AD RN Bridge Course
Credits: 3
This course is the didactic component for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to Registered Nurse (RN) advanced placement program option for LPNs who are accepted into the Connecticut Community College Nursing Program (CT-CCNP). Emphasis is placed on the theoretical components of the first two semesters of the AD RN program with assigned learning activities to support a successful transition of the LPN into the final year of the associate degree nursing program.
Prerequisite: All general education courses required for admission to the nursing program and the first and second semester of the nursing program:
BIO 2111 & BIO 2112 : C+ minimum grade within 5 years of admission to RN program
C or Better in the following courses:
ENG 1010 , MATH 1200 or higher, CCS 1001 (may be exempted), PSY 1011 , PSY 2001 , and BIO 2350
