AUTO 1038 - Brake Systems

Credits: 3

Covers the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair procedures of disc and/or drum brake systems including ABS (antilock brakes) along with their mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components. Modern traction control and stability control systems will be explored. Theory, operation, diagnosis, and repair procedures will be covered. Prepares students for the Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation (A.S.E.) A5 exam.

Prerequisite: None
Prerequisite/Corequisite: AUTO 1030  and AUTO 1033  or with permission of the coordinator.
