PTA 2794 - Physical Therapist Assistant Full-Time Clinical Experience I
Credits: 3
This course is an advanced clinical experience designed for students to integrate and apply physical therapy concepts to effectively perform interventions and data collection as a physical therapist assistant under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Students will develop daily organizational and management skills of a patient caseload and effectively contribute to the health care team. This course is a full-time clinical experience (approximately 40 hours per week) in the first half of the semester.
Prerequisite: Successful completion (C or better) in PTA 2500 , PTA 2550 , PTA 2580 and a ‘Pass’ or ‘C or better’ in PTA 2694/2694P .
