The Accounting certificate program is designed for students who are interested in specialized accounting coursework and/or those who already have a bachelor’s degree and would like to change careers. This program also serves individuals currently interested in entry level positions in the accounting field. Credits earned can be used for transfer into the Associate in Science Accounting Degree.

Learning Outcomes:

Students who complete the Accounting Certificate will:

Understand, create, and analyze basic financial statements and management reports
Demonstrate an understanding of tax law as it applies to the individual and business world
Apply computer skills to accounting transactions.

ACCT 1170 - Principles of Managerial Accounting Credits: 3
ACCT 1250 - Accounting Applications I Credits: 3
ACCT 2410 - Federal Taxes I Credits: 3
Business/Accounting Electives - select 2 courses from: ACCT, BENT, BFIN, BMGT BMKT, or BUSN Credits: 6
