This 2024-25 Curriculum Guide is intended as a reference for Fall 2024 registration. The complete 2024-25 Academic Catalog will be finalized on July 1, 2024.


The CSCU Pathway Transfer Degree: Physics Studies, A.A. degree program prepares students primarily for transfer to complete a B.S. degree in physics. Graduates will receive a background in mathematics, science, and general education courses for seamless transfer of all credits and junior status in a B.S. degree at Connecticut State Universities.

Learning Outcomes:

Students completing this degree will be prepared to transfer to the CSUs as an incoming Junior, and will be able to:

  • Communicate using terminology appropriate to Physics Studies.
  • Understand conceptual, theoretical and experimental methods used in Physics, and their applications to other fields and disciplines
  • Develop critical thinking, and analytical and computational problem-solving skills.
  • Recognize the broader impact of Physics in Society.

With this degree you will be able to transfer to the following majors.
At Central Connecticut State University: Physics, B.S.
At Southern Connecticut State University: Physics, B.S. Physics, B.A.
