This program is a CSCU Transfer Ticket degree in Economics Studies, A.A. that is intended for Connecticut Community College students to transfer to Connecticut State Universities (Southern Connecticut State University, Central Connecticut State University, Eastern Connecticut State University, Western Connecticut State University) and Charter Oak State College without either losing any credits or being required to take extra credits in order to complete a bachelor’s degree in that same discipline.

Program Outcomes:

  • Complete an Associate of Arts degree in Economic Studies.
  • Transfer seamlessly into a Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Economics with junior-level status in the receiving CSCU institution as part of the CSCU Transfer Tickets program.

Student Learning Outcomes:

  • Students will be able to analyze and evaluate real world economic problems using statistical methods.
  • Students will be able to effectively communicate economic based solutions to multiple audiences.
  • Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of macroeconomic concepts, theories, measurements and policies.
  • Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of microeconomic concepts, theories, measurements and policies.
