ENG 2461 - International Short Story Credits: 3
This class will concentrate on short fiction (often in translation) by writers from around the world and outside the United States and Great Britain. The stories included will stem from Europe, South and East Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, South and Central America, and the Middle East. The focus will be on contemporary international tales written usually in the 20th and 21st century and often connected to the Non-Western or Post- Colonial worlds.
Prerequisite: ENG 1020 - Composition II and Literature or ENG 1030 - Composition II and Non-fiction Texts or permission of the instructor Previous ENG* 239
