An advanced critical study of literature for children, from infancy to pre-adolescence, including selection, analysis, and evaluation of its various forms, its scholarship, its exemplary authors and illustrators, its historical/social contexts, and its trends/issues.
Prerequisite: ENG 1250 or permission of instructor
