ART 1410 - Darkroom Photography I
Credits: 3
An introduction to black and white film/darkroom photography, including camera operation, composition, film processing, printing and print finishing techniques. Through demonstrations, assignments, critiques, supervised and independent darkroom work and a final portfolio, students will develop technical skills and explore the creative/expressive side of photography. Students will also develop an appreciation of the many vocational and creative applications of the medium and an understanding of its cultural, historical and contemporary context.
